Gowans Hidden Treasure
Daphne came to us in April 2026 following the sudden passing of my mentor and longtime friend, Alison Gowans of Gowan's Reg'd. The lines that form the foundation of my breeding program come from Alison, and her influence can be seen throughout my kennel today. Alison's family wanted me to have some of the very best breeding stock she left behind, and Daphne is exactly that.
Daphne is an absolute goofball who can never be too close to her people. She possesses an outgoing temperament and takes all new experiences in stride—a valuable trait in a Bernese Mountain Dog. She is also an impressive physical specimen. Daphne stands approximately 25.5 inches tall and weighs about 102 pounds in athletic condition. She has a strong front assembly, a well-balanced and moderate rear, an incredible amount of bone, and a lovely, typey, large head. Her coat is of medium length and is quite manageable.
While she could benefit from slightly more leg length, overall Daphne is a girl I would change very little about. We look forward to hopefully producing a litter or two from her and helping to carry on Alison's legacy and cherished bloodlines for future generations.
